Depression

Depression is a mental illness. It can be easily confused with short-term emotional distress, anxiety attacks or feeling low. However, these are all signs of depression and that it may be time to talk to a therapist about it.
It is natural to feel down for a brief period of time or even have bouts of anxiety once in a while. Depression is much more serious than that and is a persistent feeling of sadness, loneliness, grief, uselessness and emotional pain.
